Application Fees

The total fee for the three phases of the BEFA application is $6,285.06, including Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). Fees are paid at the start of each phase and are non-refundable. Depending on the results of the online competency demonstration or interview, additional fees may apply if a re-assessment is required.

Other Fees & Expenses | Applicants are responsible for all personal expenses incurred during the BEFA application and appeal processes. These may include translation, certification or notary fees, and travel or accommodation costs if travel is required for an interview. |
*This fee (for Denial of BEFA Eligibility) must be paid before the eligibility application re-assessment. If the outcome of the re-assessment is successful, the fee will be refunded.
**This fee (for Denial of BEFA Certification or Assignment of Remedial Actions) must be paid prior to the re-assessment and is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the appeal.

The Atlantic Immigrant Career Loan Fund (AICLF) is a micro-loan fund for internationally trained immigrants in Atlantic Canada.
